Pick a cycle and tap once. The picture surfaces out of static, and brown noise rises and holds while you work. In the last minute of the stretch it starts to sink: the picture dissolves into grain and the sound drops to a low, far hum. That hum is the break. Forty-five seconds before the break ends, the noise surfaces again, and the next stretch begins on its own.
There is no number on the screen. Hover, or tap the screen on a phone, and the time left shows for a moment. A dot is left for every cycle you finish.
Three cycles: 25 minutes of work and 5 of rest, 50 and 10, or 10 and 5. The noise is made in your browser, not played from a file. Leave the tab open and it keeps going.
It runs on the noise machine, where you can choose another noise, a sleep timer, or a trip.
