Once a year the clock gives an hour back. At 2:00 it reads 1:00 again, and the same hour, with the same name, happens a second time. This year it happens on Halloween night, from 31 October into 1 November, in most of the United States and Canada.
Tap once and an hour of soft brown noise plays. The clock on the screen runs from 1:00 to 2:00. At the fold it rolls back and the hour plays again, but as its ghost: the same noise, backwards, darker, with an echo, and fading to silence on the second 2:00. The clock turns into its own mirror.
It plays with the screen locked. The noise is our own, from the noise machine, where you can tune it yourself, or set a timer that fades with the moon.
